Scientific Partnerships in Patagonia and Antarctica
Karukinka’s purpose is to develop scientific partnerships with laboratories, universities, and international networks around the subantarctic channels, the Cape Horn Biosphere Reserve, and the high polar latitudes.
What Karukinka provides:

A 20-meter expedition sailboat, Milagro, as a field platform.

Access to rare study areas: Patagonian channels, the Beagle Channel, Navarino, Cape Horn, and Diego Ramírez.

A biocultural connection with members of the Yagan and Selk’nam communities.

Continuous field presence since 2014.
